DJ Lundy injury update: Mike Norvell reveals troubling news about FSU linebacker
Warchant.com reports Wednesday that Florida State linebacker DJ Lundy will miss the remainder of the season with an injury according to head coach Mike Norvell. Who announced the unfortunate news about the defensive anchor for the Seminoles following Wednesday’s practice.
The redshirt senior started in the first five games of the season for the Seminoles before missing the team’s most recent matchup against Clemson this past weekend. A surprising late scratch at the time for an injury that has still been undisclosed.
“Obviously it’s disappointing,” Norvell said. “DJ is a young man that’s put a lot into the program. Just poured a lot into it. He’s been a really good player for us, great teammate. But unfortunately, he will be out for the rest of the year due to injury.”
In his five games for Florida State this season, Lundy recorded 25 tackles and broke up one pass. But in the totality of his career for the Seminoles, he’s appeared in 47 games with 22 starts where he racked up 195 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, an interception, and one forced fumble and recovery apiece. Also rushing for three scores and catching a touchdown pass as a goal line fullback for the Seminoles in his career
