Florida State lineman Robert Scott Jr leaves vs Louisville as injuries mount
The injuries continue to pile up for Florida State. Offensive lineman Robert Scott Jr. became the latest Seminole to leave the game against Louisville Friday night.
Scott left early in the fourth quarter and needed help getting off the field after his leg rolled up. It adds to a rough night for injuries for Mike Norvell’s group, which is still hanging with the Cardinals despite multiple players leaving the game.

Scott started all 11 games last season as he anchors the Florida State offensive line. He’s a big part of the plan to protect quarterback Jordan Travis, who also left the game against Louisville with an apparent leg injury and wouldn’t return.
Mike Norvell provides update on Jordan Travis, Jared Verse after injuries vs Louisville
Jordan Travis’ injury in the second quarter of Florida State’s game against Louisville created plenty of question marks for Mike Norvell and Co. The Seminoles headman then provided an update on their starting quarterback, as well as star defender Jared Verse.
Travis has been ruled out for the rest of the game, Norvell told ESPN’s Paul Carcaterra at halftime, and was seen on crutches on the sideline. That means it’s Tate Rodemaker’s show the rest of the way in the Friday night showdown.

In addition, Verse was seen in street clothes, Carcaterra said. That’s a huge blow to the Seminoles defense considering Verse leads the team in sacks.
Travis was trying to get out of the pocket when a Louisville defender landed on his left leg. He then was helped off the field and called for help once he got the ball out. Once he left, it meant Florida State had to turn to Rodemaker under center.
Travis was off to a hot start in the game, completing his first 11 passes. But he struggled after that, going 13-for-17 for 157 yards and two touchdowns at the time of his injury. He was also trying to help Florida State come back from a 21-14 deficit in the second quarter on the road.
