Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell got a massive boost to their 2023 recruiting class on Friday when five-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan wide receiver Hykeem Williams chose the Seminoles over Texas, A&M, Pittsburgh, Georgia, Miami and others.

Not only did it give Norvell his second five-star commitment as coach of the ‘Noles, but it also pushed FSU into the top-15 of the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Florida State leapt from the No. 20 spot over Michigan State, Arkansas, South Carolina and Texas A&M to No. 15 overall, which gives Norvell his highest-ranked class since he took over as coach in 2019.

Hykeem Williams is the second top-100 prospect to commit to Florida State

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Williams is one of nine blue-chippers pledged to the Seminoles this cycle, joining top-100 Highland Home (Ala.) EDGE Keldric Faulk, Clearwater (Fla.) offensive tackle Lucas Simmons and a host of other top talents in the FSU class.

Williams is also the third wide receiver to announce for Norvell and Co., joining On300 pass-catcher Vandrevius Jacobs and Seminole (Fla.) wideout Goldie Lawrence.
