Florida State is set to host one of the top transfer defensive lineman in the portal. Pitt transfer Samuel Okunlola will visit Tallahassee this weekend, according to WarChant.

Okunlola appeared in 11 games this season, finishing with 18 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The Massachusetts native is ranked as the No. 8 defensive lineman in the portal, according to the On3 Industry transfer portal rankings.

As a recruit, Okunlola was rated a three-star prospect, and the No. 567 overall player in the country in the class of 2022.

Samuel Okunlola attended Thayer Academy, before signing with the Panthers. He played in the final four games of the 2022 season, while preserving his redshirt.

As a senior in high school, he finished with 49 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

If he does end up choosing Florida State, it would be a solid pick up for Mike Norvell and his staff. The Seminoles are set to lose several talented players off of this year’s undefeated team.
