Florida State teammates flood hospital to support Jordan Travis
Following a devastating injury to Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis on Saturday, his teammates have showed up to support him in a heartwarming way on Sunday evening.
Travis posted a short clip on his Snapchat account showing about a dozen teammates hanging out in the hospital to support him.
Among those present were star defensive end Jared Verse, offensive lineman Jeremiah Byers, defensive back Jarrian Jones, defensive lineman Fabien Lovett, linebacker Tatum Bethune, receiver Destyn Hill and new starting quarterback Tate Rodemaker.
You can check out the short video clip below.
Travis has obviously meant a lot to the program in Tallahassee, helping the Seminoles start the season 11-0 with a real chance to reach this year’s College Football Playoff.
How the CFP selection committee handles Travis’ injury will be fascinating, especially with a slew of close contenders vying for the all-important top four spots. The newest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings will be unveiled on Tuesday.
Jordan Travis has had a huge impact on FSU
Before he suffered the season-ending injury on Saturday, Travis was having a dream season with the Seminoles. He was even earning Heisman Trophy consideration.

But his impact at Florida State goes beyond just the gaudy numbers he’s put up each week. He’s been a real team leader.
“He is beloved by his teammates,” Warchant’s Jeff Cameron said on the Andy Staples On3 show. “Mike (Norvell) runs an open practice, so me and the press are lucky enough to be at every practice and he’s fine with that. Obviously there’s certain rules, but you get to see relationships form, you get to watch how people respond to each other.”
“This team to a man across the board responds to Jordan Travis’ leadership. And he’s a quiet leader, he does it mainly just by practicing hard every day, being consistent, being there and Jordan’s a guy that I think again represents Florida State’s turnaround. And they’ve rode that wave of emotion and later on to victory these last two years with him.”
In his six-year college career, which began at Louisville, Travis has recorded 8,714 passing yards, with 66 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. He has also run for 1,950 yards and 31 touchdowns.
