Former Alabama OL Terrence Ferguson commits to Florida State

Former Alabama offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson has committed to play for Florida State and Mike Norvell, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He will have multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Ferguson redshirted as a true freshman in 2021, appearing in one game. He played in five contests in 2022 during his second season in Tuscaloosa and then six during the 2023 season, beginning the season as a starter on the line before getting swapped out as the Crimson Tide shuffled up front.

A former top recruit in the 2021 class, Ferguson is evidently after a reset in Tallahassee, where Florida State is banking on a chance to still get the best from an über-talented player. He also entered the portal prior to the news of Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s retirement broke.

Ferguson played high school football at Peach County (Georgia) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 64 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
