Report: Former Georgia lineman Amarius Mims makes transfer portal decision
Former Georgia offensive lineman Amarius Mims has chosen his transfer destination following a memorable recruiting effort from his choice. The former five-star recruit will play for Florida State next season, according to a report Wednesday evening.
Amarius Mims transferring to Florida State
“Former 5-star recruit and Georgia offensive lineman Amarius Mims intends to sign with Florida State Football,” stated Warchant.com on Wednesday.
The decision follows a recruiting effort that showed the Seminoles welcomed the highly recruited talent in an interesting fashion. Head coach Mike Norvell and his coaching staff greeted Mims with a car stereo blaring the Florida State war chant, setting the tone for their recruiting effort. Amarius Mims was heavily recruited by Florida State prior to his signing with Georgia last year, and that relationship continued into his transfer recruiting this season.
Mims, a 6’7″ 330-pound lineman, will be a sophomore this season after playing nine games with the national champion Georgia Bulldogs.
