After he left last week’s game against Louisville with an injury, Florida State has made a final decision on Jared Verse’s status vs. Boston College. He has been ruled out.

Verse isn’t dressed out, according to Warchant — On3’s Florida State fan site — and won’t be available for the game. He left the game against Louisville with an injury and didn’t return, and now the highly touted transfer won’t be available once again as ACC play continues.

Verse was a key newcomer for Florida State on defense this year, heading to Tallahassee via the transfer portal. The former Albany EDGE cemented himself as an important playmaker on defense, leading the team with 3.0 sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss in three appearances.

It’s not all bad news for the Seminoles on the injury front, though. Quarterback Jordan Travis — who also left the Louisville game with an injury — is in line to start the game against Boston College. He was seen on crutches with a boot on his foot during last week’s game, but it appears he’ll be good to go Saturday night.

Report: Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis set to start vs Boston College

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis will start against Boston College Saturday night, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Travis was injured during the first half of Week 3’s game against Louisville and did not return.

Travis’ sustained the injury to his left leg and was seen wearing a boot following FSU’s 35-31 victory over the Cardinals.

Before the injury, Travis completed his first 11 passes but was 13-for-17 for 157 yards and two touchdowns. Despite the injury, Travis will look to duplicate that performance from last season against the Eagles, where he completed 20-of-34 passes for three touchdowns in one of his most impressive performances on 2021.
