Jordan Travis calls for better starts on Florida State offense
In Florida State’s first loss of the season, Jordan Travis and the offense struggled to keep up with Wake Forest early in the game. So, while the Seminoles were able to battle back, it was too little too late. Now, Travis knows that the offense needs to start faster than it has been going forward.
While speaking to the media Jordan Travis was asked about the offense’s inability to get into a rhythm against Wake Forest in the first half.
“I turned over the ball,” Jordan Travis said. “I’ve got to take care of the ball. At the end of the day, that was a big momentum swing. So, I’ll be working on that for sure.”

“But, yeah, we just weren’t clicking. We weren’t doing the little things right. We got it going in the second half, but we gotta come out faster than that and keep our foot on the gas. So, we got a lot of work to do. We’ll be back next week.”
Later, Jordan Travis was asked to better explain what Florida State’s offense was doing in the second half that they weren’t in the first half, which helped them to improve.

“At halftime, we talked a lot in the locker room. We got closer. Yeah, but we needed that. We needed that. We’re gonna respond very well next week. We’ll come back to work tomorrow–we’re gonna get better.”
Jordan Travis says it sucks to lose
The 2022 Florida State Seminoles only have one loss. So, it is a new feeling for the team to manage. It’s also a feeling that Jordan Travis hates.
“Yeah it sucks, losing sucks, but I told all the guys we’ll learn from this right here,” Jordan Travis said. “We don’t wanna feel this again, so we’re gonna come back.”
Florida State is in the middle of a challenging stretch, with games against NC State and Clemson coming up.
