Jordan Travis exits game vs Louisville with apparent leg injury
Jordan Travis started out red-hot for Florida State on Friday. But in the second quarter, he suffered an apparent lower leg injury and immediately headed to the locker room.
Travis was trying to get out of the pocket when a Louisville defender landed on his left leg. He then was helped off the field and called for help once he got the ball out. Once he left, it meant Florida State had to turn to Tate Rodemaker under center.
As he went off the field, Travis headed toward the MRI and X-Ray area at Cardinal Stadium, according to Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde.

Florida State defensive end Jared Verse also left the game with an injury
Defensive end Jared Verse, who leads the Seminoles in sacks through two games, also got shaken up in the second quarter and walked gingerly off the field. He headed directly to the medical tent once he got to the sideline and was later seen with a brace on his left knee. After Jordan Travis headed back to the locker room, Verse was seen walking back that way, as well.
Verse, a high-profile transfer portal addition from Albany, had a team-high 3.0 sacks through Florida State’s first two games of the 2022 season.
Florida State got off to a hot start to the year, defeating Duquesne and LSU out of the gate. The Seminoles will try to pull away from Louisville to make it a 3-0 start Friday night on the road at Cardinal Stadium.
