Florida State is looking for Jordan Travis to be a leader on and off the field for the Seminoles. He knows this, but he also knows that he’s not the only talented player on Florida State’s roster and he loves to give credit where credit is due, be it the running back room or offensive line. That appreciation for his teammates even seems to extend to his defense, as he praised the defensive line unit following practice during Fall camp.

Jordan Travis was asked by a reporter about the strengths of the Florida State defense. The idea being that Travis would have more insight since he plays against them every single day.

“I would say the entire defense, the scheme, the players,” Jordan Travis said. “I mean we have great DBs, great linebackers. The linebackers are fast, strong.”

Jordan Travis saved his highest praise for the Florida State defensive line, though. Making a bold proclamation, that the Florida State defensive line was the best defensive line the Seminoles’ offense would have to play in 2022.

“And, obviously, the d-line’s very tough to go against every single day. Probably the best d-line we’ll face all year long. A bunch of guys are just fast, strong. Fabian Lovett, you’ve got Coop (Robert Cooper), you’ve got Jared Verse.”

“I can keep going on. Those guys are very talented. It’s a blessing for us that we get to come here and play against these guys every day. I feel like a lot of these guys are going to play in the NFL one day. So, it’s great for us to be able to compete against them every single day,” Jordan Travis concluded.

Jordan Travis and Florida State play LSU, NC State, Clemson, Miami, and Florida among others in 2022. If Travis is right, and the Seminoles have the best defensive line out of everyone on their schedule, then they’re going to be one of the best in the country.

Jordan Travis had a strong scrimmage

Jordan Travis is quick to give his teammates credit, but he’s done a lot to prove his own growth and development as a player too. Recently, he had a strong performance in the team’s scrimmage.

“I feel really good, I’ve been playing really well. This football team has been doing amazing, offensive line’s been doing really good, receivers been making big plays. At the end of the day, I can’t do anything without my guys, they’ve been playing really really good so just gotta keep it rolling until next week,” Jordan Travis said.
