Jordan Travis ready to put it all on the line, get Florida State what it deserves
Florida State Seminoles star quarterback Jordan Travis has his eyes on a national title in 2023.
In an exclusive 1-on-1 interview with WarChant ahead of the 2023 college football season, Travis explained why he and his teammates are ready to put it all on the line to bring success to Tallahassee.
“We speak about it,” responded Travis, asked if there was an understanding between Florida State’s team of what they’re capable of in 2023. “Obviously the players. Coach [Mike] Norvell, usually does not speak about it much. But he did bring it up this year. We know who we have. We have athletes across the field who can match up with anyone across the country. No doubt in my mind. We know how hard we work. We know what type of people we are.
“I just feel like everyone’s been through so much in their careers, we’re willing to put it all on the line and get Florida State what they deserve.”
It’s special when that’s the thought-process of a team entering any season. Travis and his teammates obviously hold the program in high regard, and Florida State fans should be proud of that.
Whether or not it leads to a national title remains to be seen, but it won’t be because of a lack of effort on Jordan Travis’ part in 2023.
Jordan Travis’ goal is to win national championship, not Heisman Trophy
Moreover, Jordan Travis has a preference when it comes to accolades at Florida State and within college football: a national championship.

Sure, a Heisman Trophy would be nice, as Travis is one of the popular picks this coming season. But he’d rather win every single game and deliver a title for the Seminoles.
That’s how he explained it on the Preferred Walk On Podcast.
“Yeah it’s a blessing for sure,” Travis said. “Being talked about, especially at that magnitude and how special that award is, it’s a blessing for sure. But, like I said before, man, I’m a guy that wants to win a national championship. I came here to win a national championship.”
Again, Travis couldn’t care less about the personal accolades. Heading into his sixth season, he is focused on the main thing and letting all the other chips fall where they may.
“I never said I’m coming here to win a Heisman. I care about winning the football games. After that, other things will come.”
