Florida State WR Keon Coleman, the transfer from Michigan State, was the most impactful player for his team in the first half of their Top-10 matchup with LSU. He limped off and left the stadium following the Seminole’s final offensive drive of the half, though, after catching a game-tying touchdown.

However, per Holly Rowe on the ABC broadcast, Coleman is doing whatever it takes to have his body right to come back in and play. As she said coming out of halftime, Coleman was taking in plenty of Gatorade and pretzels in order to offset his cramps.

“Keon Coleman, who had a terrific first half but cramped up and left early? He came out of the locker room drinking Gatorade and eating a baggie full of pretzels. Gotta get that salt in!” said Rowe.

Again, Coleman made his presence felt right away as a weapon for Jordan Travis and the Seminole offense. He caught four passes, tied with Johnny Wilson for a team-high, for 64 yards, two shy of Wilson for most in the game.

With that said, he does have both of Florida State’s scores all to himself. His first touchdown came from 40 yards out to give FSU a 7-0 lead to start. Then, at the end of the first half, he went up and completed another scoring catch from 21 yards away to even things up at 14 before walking off with the apparent injury.

With LSU holding a 17-14 lead at halftime, Coleman’s status could obviously play a major role in how this contest shakes out. That’s especially so if he remains as hot of a target as he has been so far or finds the endzone anymore after his sideline snack.

Coleman goes up for second touchdown catch vs. LSU

Florida State WR Keon Coleman just made one of the best catches of week one against LSU.

He made an acrobatic 21-yard touchdown grab against the Tigers late in the second quarter. At the beginning of the third quarter, ESPN’s Holly Rowe confirmed that Coleman was cramping up after the touchdown catch.

Earlier in the first half, he hauled in his first touchdown catch in a Florida State uniform.

Just inside of LSU territory, Coleman lined up out wide left and ran a simple slant. He caught the pass from Jordan Travis, slipped inside a defender and then outraced another to the end zone for a 40-yard touchdown.
