Lamar transfer OT Bless Harris flips to Florida State from UCF
Offensive tackle Bless Harris flipped his commitment from UCF to Florida State after visiting Tallahassee, Fla this weekend.
“It’s a blessing to be able to have this opportunity to come out here,” Harris told 247Sports’ Zach Blostein. “But being able to have another opportunity to come to a Power Five who has needs and being able to come in and probably play right away.”
Harris played two seasons at FCS Lamar before entering the transfer portal in September. He playing in 10 games as a freshman and then started five games at left tackle during the spring 2021 season before suffering a season-ending injury.
“They have needs and I need to be ready to come in and come play right away,” Harris said.
Florida State’s offensive line currently has two graduate transfers starting on the line, and Bless Harris said he believes he can start on the line next season.

Florida State’s recruiting class is ranked No. 13 in the country
The Seminoles have the 13th-best recruiting class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
Five Star Plus+ athlete Travis Hunter is the headliner of the class. Hunter is the No. 1 prospect in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The class have five offensive line recruits, not including Bless Harris. Duncanville (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Jaylen Early, Miami Miami Central four-star offensive tackle Daughtry Richardson, Lafayette (Ala.) four-star offensive tackle Antavious Woody, Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star offensive tackle Qae’shon Sapp and Brunswick (Ga.) three-star interior offensive lineman Kanaya Charlton.
