LOOK: Mike Norvell visits Florida State 3-star S Kenton Kirkland

Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines three-star safety Kenton Kirkland committed to Florida State on Aug. 15. Head coach Mike Norvell paid him a visit on Friday.

Kirkland is the No. 470 overall prospect and No. 48 safety in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 89 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-1, 176-pound defensive back is one of 16 commits in the Seminoles’ 2023 recruiting class. Florida State’s group is No. 15 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 3 in the ACC.
