LOOK: On300 No. 1 recruit Marvin Jones Jr. visiting Florida State
On3 five-star EDGE Marvin Jones Jr. has been spotted at Florida State.
Jones was the biggest name visiting the Seminoles this weekend. His father, Marvin Jones Sr., played for Florida State during the 1990s where he was a two-time All-American and 1992 Butkus Award winner.
The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage star is the No. 1 recruit in the country, according to On3.
Other top uncommitted player in attendance are IMG Academy consensus five-star safety Kamari Wilson, Las Vegas Desert Pines four-star running back Jovantae Barnes and Fort Lauderdale Dillard four-star EDGE Nyjalik Kelly.
Charlestown (Ind.) High five-star offensive tackle and Kentucky commit Kiyaunta Goodwin is also attending the game. Goodwin is the No. 14 overall recruit, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Marvin Jones Jr. will be a key piece to any recruiting class he joins
Marvin Jones Jr.’s top five appears to be Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
Jones was in Tuscaloosa, Ala., last weekend for an official visit to the Crimson Tide.
All five schools have recruiting classes that rank inside the top 12 of On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. On3’s Jeremy Crabtree put Jones’ recruitment in his list of 10 recruiting battles that will determine which schools finish in the top 10.
“Many believe Florida State — where Jones’ father was a star linebacker in the 1990s — is the team to beat. If the Seminoles want to sign a top 10 class, they can’t afford to miss on Jones. FSU currently has the 12th best class in the country, but they are not far outside of the top 10,” Crabtree said. “Landing Jones would give them a nice boost and potentially could help get other players to jump on board down the stretch. That momentum could propel the Noles into the top 10.”
