Florida State freshman quarterback Luke Kromenhoek plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after one season with the Seminoles, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The former Benedictine Military School (Ga.) star was a member of FSU’s 2024 recruiting class, where he ranked as the nation’s No. 45 overall prospect and No. 4 QB, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Luke Kromenhoek appeared in six games as a reserve for the Seminoles this past season, completing 44 of 84 passes for 502 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next school.

As a senior in 2023, he threw for 2,578 with 24 touchdowns and added 588 yards and seven scores on the ground. Coming out of high school, Kromenhoek chose the Seminoles over offers from Oklahoma, Tennessee and others.

Ward is a former three-star recruit in the class of 2023. He was ranked as the No. 118 linebacker in the country that year, per the On3 Industry rankings.

The Georgia native played in nine games for the Seminoles this past season. He recorded 9 tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss, as Florida State struggled to a 2-10 record.

DeMarco Ward appeared in two games while redshirting during the 2023 season as Florida State went 13-1, just missing out on a spot in the College Football Playoff. He attended Duluth High in Duluth, Georgia prior to signing with Florida State.

As a senior at Duluth, Ward recorded 74 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. Florida State has had several players enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2024 season. That was to be expected after a disappointing year, which led to some staff changes.
