On3 5-Star Countdown: No. 26, Florida State QB signee Luke Kromenhoek
On3 has released its final recruiting ranking for the 2024 class after the completion of the high school football season and all-star competitions. Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School quarterback and Florida State signee Luke Kromenhoek is a new five-star and the No. 26 overall prospect in the 2024 On300.
The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 32 five-star players, up from 21 in the penultimate update in November. Of those 32 prospects, 29 are signed to college programs, with three still yet to make their decisions official.
This final update comes after the end of the high school playoffs and postseason All-American games, where top prospects across the country faced off in a week of practices and ended with nationally televised games.

The 6-foot-3.5, 190-pound Kromenhoek committed to the Seminoles on March 26, 2022. At the time, he was unranked by all four major recruiting services.
“It’s very close to my home, my parents can come and visit easily and they can come to all the games that was a big part,” Kromenhoek told On3 when he committed. “I really like the coaching staff. Every time I’ve been down there, they’ve rolled out the red carpet. I really like the future of the program is going. I think they’re on their way back up to the top where they should be.”
Luke Kromenhoek Scouting Summary
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about Kromenhoek as a prospect:
“Toolsy, strong-armed passer with some of the best physical attributes among quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle. One of the taller quarterbacks in the group with a prototypical build at 6-foot-3.5, 190 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand. Shows a very live arm on Friday nights and in the camp setting. Backed that up in the camp setting, where he showed one of the strongest arms at the Elite 11 Finals. Flashes a quick, natural release, generating considerable velocity with ease. Rips throws down the middle of the field on a line. Had several passes travel over 50 yards in the air as a junior. Can stretch secondaries with his arm strength. Delivers some nice passes on the on rollouts to his right and left.
“A good athlete at the position. Shows very encouraging reactive quickness and burst as a mover in evading the pass rush. Has upside as a runner with his quickness and speed and can pick up chunks of yards once at the second level. Unlike most other top 2024 quarterbacks, was a first-year starter as a junior, leading his team to a state title. Completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,576 yards and 24 touchdowns against 3 interceptions, while rushing for 453 yards and 7 scores. Played wide receiver and safety while backing up Auburn signee Holden Geriner as a sophomore. Can stand to improve his overall consistency and will likely see the game continue to slow down for him with more in-game reps. Older for the class, turning 19 years-old in January of his senior year. Has one of the higher upsides in the murky 2024 quarterback class.”
