Some of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle will be in California this summer for the Elite 11 Finals. One of them is Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek, a Florida State commit.

Kromenhoek has gradually climbed the recruiting rankings and become one of the top signal-callers in the country. As a result, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power is excited to see how the 6-foot-3.5, 190-pound signal-caller performs.

“We had him ranked very high, I think in the top 75,” Power said. “I think he’s currently within the top 50 of the On3 rankings. I think Luke Kromenhoek, along with DJ Lagway, probably has the most physical upside of these top-100, blue-chip quarterbacks.

“Luke Kromenhoek is a first-year starter. He was the backup at Benedictine in Savannah, Ga. I think he’s got a very strong arm, one of the strongest arms in the cycle. He’s a guy with really good feet. I think with him, it’s about just getting more polished and more consistency, more in-game reps. But I think he has a lot of upside and I’m really looking forward to seeing how he stacks up in that group.”

Kromenhoek is the No. 72 overall prospect and No. 8 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 11 player in Georgia.

On3 rates Kromenhoek higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 45 overall prospect, No. 5 quarterback and No. 7 player in Georgia.

“Honestly, I’m excited to compete with the best QBs in the country,” Kromenhoek told Matt LaSerre of Warchant on May 23 about the Elite 11. “It’s a great honor to be invited… but I want to prove to everyone that I belong there. I’m treating it like a Friday game night.”

Kromenhoek is currently the third highest-ranked recruit in the Seminoles’ 2024 recruiting class. Florida State’s group ranks No. 7 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the ACC.

“I’m going to try and get them to commit,” Kromenhoek told Michael Langston of Warchant on April 14 about his pitch to high school prospects. “I would not say sell them (on FSU) because everything they are hearing about here is true. It’s showing them that we have something special building here and hop on the train before the train passes. What’s not to love about this place? Let’s make this the No. 1 class.”
