The move for Marvin Jones Jr. is official. After spending two years at Georgia and entering the NCAA transfer portal, Jones committed to play for Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles. A few days later, Norvell announced Jones was officially a part of the program.

“Marvin is a dynamic athlete with proven production at the collegiate level,” Norvell said in a statement. “He brings experience and a tremendous amount of play-making ability to our program, and he is just scratching the surface of where he can go.

“I’m looking forward to seeing his continued development in all areas within our program as he forges his own legacy here at Florida State. I’m so excited about not only the player but also the person that is joining the Nole Family.”

Jones played high school football at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage, where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 20 overall recruit and No. 4 EDGE in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
