Tallahassee (Fla.) Florida State School four-star athlete Micahi Danzy has considered dozens of schools during his recruitment. Among the major contenders recently have been hometown Florida State, Florida and Miami, among others.

Heading into his official visit this weekend — the only one he currently has scheduled — though, Danzy is trending heavily toward the Seminoles, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Mike Norvell and Co. currently hold a 96.0 percent chance of securing his commitment following expert predictions from around the recruiting industry, as well as one from Warchant.com‘s Matt LaSerre.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder is the No. 205 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 8 athlete and the No. 33 senior in the state of Florida.

On3, however, is higher on him than other recruiting services. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 142 prospect, No. 4 athlete and No. 21 player in the Sunshine State.

As a hometown kid, Florida State has long been Danzy’s dream school. The Seminoles envision him at running back, playing along side fellow four-star Kam Davis, who committed to FSU in February 2021.

“Watching Coach Norvell build Florida State back up is nice to see,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons in March. “The team showed a lot of improvement under him and I like what the team is doing. Coach Norvell is bringing Florida State back and he is a coach that wants the best for his players. I like what he is doing there.”

The Seminoles currently sit inside the top-15 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and already features Davis, five-star tight end Landen Thomas, On3 top-five quarterback Luke Kromenhoek and in-state four-star wideouts Tawaski Abrams and LaWayne McCoy, among others.

They’re also trending heavily on the On3 RPM for five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, On3 five-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels and coveted four-star tight end Kylan Fox.
