Mike Norvell chews out defensive coordinator Adam Fuller over defensive mishap vs. Miami
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell has been having a disastrous season. Things simply can’t get much worse for the Seminoles, who currently sit at 1-6 overall. The FSU defense was caught with too many men on the field a number of times on Saturday night against Miami, and that infuriated Norvell. So, he decided to let Seminoles defensive coordinator Adam Fuller know about it with 43 seconds left in the first half.
Norvell chewed Fuller out on the sidelines, after he was ticked off about another penalty for too many men being on the field.
Florida State actually made things interesting for most of the contest on Saturday, but ultimately lost, 36-14, thanks to a couple of late scores by the Miami Hurricanes. The Seminoles now sit at 1-7 overall, one of the worst records in school history.
If Florida State decided to part ways with head coach Mike Norvell at the end of the 2024 season, the Seminoles would owe their head coach roughly $63 million. The head coach’s buyout drops by roughly $9 million after each season.
Norvell signed an eight-year extension through the 2031 season worth more than $84 million before incentives before the 2024 season. According to Norvell’s contract, he is owed 85 percent of his remaining salary as a buyout.
