Mike Norvell evaluates where Brock Glenn, Luke Kromenhoek stand entering final weeks
Since DJ Uiagalelei suffered a season-ending broken finger, quarterbacks Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek have split snaps at quarterback, with the former listed as the team’s QB1 on the depth chart. However, entering Week 13, Florida State named the pair as co-starters for the first time.
On Monday, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell pulled back the curtain on the team’s quarterback situation.
“Every rep that they get is an opportunity for them to show where they are, their development, their execution,” Norvell said. “So as both of them have played, I think it is right because that’s how they’ve basically approached each game, and I’m looking forward to this week.
“I’m looking forward to these guys coming out and competing to get better. I thought they did a really good job of that there in the bye week and their work.”
Florida State enjoyed a bye this past weekend after suffering a 52-3 loss to Notre Dame in Week 11. The week off gave the team more time to evaluate their two QBs. Both Brock and Kromenhoek have struggled to find success this season.

Since Oct. 10, Glenn has tallied 338 passing yards and two touchdowns while throwing four interceptions. In comparison, Kromenhoek has amassed 153 yards and zero touchdowns compared to two interceptions in the same time span.
Despite the pair’s subpar showings, Norvell is proud of their efforts.
“What I love about both of those guys is the ownership of action,” Norvell said. “There’s been some challenges at playing the position this year, just with different elements of things that we’ve seen, things that you’ve had to kind of work through, the good and the bad, but they own their work, and their passion to go get better.
“They’re doing a good job of what they’re doing in the meeting rooms, of what they’re trying to transition that and become more consistent there on the practice field, and to see that carry over into the games is big here in the next couple weeks. Excited about the evaluation part of it for them and just continuing to see them grow.”
On Saturday, Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek will each have a chance to shine as the Seminoles square off against Charleston Southern at 1:30 p.m. ET. The game will air live on ESPN+.
