Mike Norvell: Losing makes me sick
One of the things that makes an athlete or coach unique is their fire to win. In some cases, like that of Mike Norvell, coaches hate losing more than they actually like to win. In the case of Norvell, he actually hates losing so much that it makes him sick.
While speaking to the media, Mike Norvell spoke about Florida State’s loss to Wake Forest. During that time, he spoke about the challenge ahead, lessons learned, and just how much he hates to lose.
“All in all, I really like the response that our guys had, and I know that they’re going to come to work and have a great week,” Mike Norvell said.

“We’ve got an incredible challenge ahead. Get to go on the road, another top team in our conference, another very experienced team, you know, that’s in our league and we know that we’ve got to go play our best game. And, that’s all I want to see our team do is go out there and get better,” Mike Norvell said.

“And, you know, for us to have the lessons that were learned there Saturday night, we’ve gotta–or Saturday afternoon–we’ve gotta apply the lessons. We have to go get better, and I know our team’s gonna do that and looking forward to the week that’s ahead.”
