Mike Norvell shares reason why Treshaun Ward didn’t play vs Miami
Florida State fans would be excused if they didn’t notice anything wrong with the team’s blowout win over Miami. However, Mike Norvell’s Seminoles were missing Treshaun Ward, a running back on the offense. This was, despite the fact that he was expected to return for the Miami game.
Mike Norvell explained to the media why Treshaun Ward didn’t suit up for Florida State’s rivalry game with Miami.
“Like I mentioned last week, I was–you know, I mentioned unless there was a setback or something that kept it,” Mike Norvell said.

“I think he would have been available if it was an absolute emergency last week. It was, those last 24 hours didn’t necessarily go as well as we had hoped, and we wanted to be smart with him. So, this week, he’s gotten even more action in practice kind of the same story and approach, and we’ll see where that gets to as we get to gameday.”

So, Treshaun Ward had a bit of a setback that kept him out against Miami, especially given the circumstances of the game. Hopefully, for his own sake and that of Florida State, he’ll be able to play against Syracuse.
Mike Norvell gave a hurricane update for Florida State
Mike Norvell was asked about how Tropical Storm/Hurricane Nicole could potentially impact the team’s travel plans to Syracuse. For now, though, it doesn’t seem like Norvell is expecting the storm to have too much of an impact on the team.
“As of right now, there’s not been any adjustments that have been needed,” Mike Norvell explained.
“But, we have been in communication, just tracking all things. But, we don’t feel as if it’s going to be adjusted as of right now.”
