Florida State offensive lineman Qae’shon Sapp plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on his Twitter account on Tuesday evening.

Sapp has been at Florida State for the past two years, where he has served mostly as a reserve lineman.

“First I want to thank God,” Sapp wrote. “This has been a long decision that I’ve thought about and finally I have decided. I want to say thank you for the 2 years here at FSU, but I have to do what is best for me and my career to help provide for my family and myself. I want to thank the whole university itself as well as the academic staff for helping me succeed in class and helping me become a better student.

“I want to personally thank the two men that lead me here, which are coach (Mike) Norvell and coach (Alex) Atkins. With that being said, with the last 3 years of my career I will be entering my name into the transfer portal. Thank you Florida State.”

Prior to enrolling at Florida State, Sapp was a three-star prospect and the No. 410 overall recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He checked in as the No. 28 interior offensive lineman and the No. 41 overall player from the state of Georgia, hailing from Leesburg (GA) Lee County.
