Miami (Fla.) Miami Central four-star EDGE Rueben Bain is currently on his official visit to Florida State. This trip to see the Seminoles comes ahead of Bain’s commitment on Dec. 16.

During his trip, Bain tried on one of Florida State’s uniforms. It contained a maroon jersey and white helmet.

“I knew Florida State was going to do this,” Bain told On3’s Chad Simmons about the Seminoles’ 4-1 start to the season. “I(‘ve) been saying it for a minute because (head coach MikeNorvell finally got the grip on his program and is really showing what he can do once he gets the guys he need(s). That’s all he’s doing. He got settled and now he’s comfortable. He just leads Florida State and (is) doing what he really has to do and always just really leading the team back to what Florida State used to be.”

Bain is the No. 80 overall prospect and No. 13 EDGE in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 17 player in Florida.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction MachineMiami has a commanding lead for Bain’s commitment at 69.8%. He has visited the Hurricanes nine times.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

A 6-foot-2, 250-pound prospect, Bain has an On3 NIL Valuation of $122K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Rueben Bain On3 Scouting Summary

“Energizer bunny along the defensive line who plays with his hair on fire every snap which helped lead Miami Central (FL) to a state championship as a junior. Totaled 53 tackles, a ridiculous 31 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks during his junior season. One of, if not the highest of motors of any defensive lineman in the 2023 cycle. Works to make plays at all levels of the field. Lives in the backfield due to his get off and burst. Plays with natural leverage due to height. Possesses excellent length in order to keep chest clean at point of attack. Stacks and sheds with ease regardless of mass.

“Needs to fill out throughout his frame in order to thrive at the next level. Has the twitch, change of direction and motor in order to excel in college. Ran an electronically-timed sub-4.50 shuttle and jumped a 25-inch vertical at 250 pounds during the spring of his sophomore year heading into his junior campaign. Will continue to develop physically and get stronger in order to shine and become an NFL draft selection.”
