4-star F Taylor Bol Bowen officially signs with Florida State
On3 Consensus four-star recruit Taylor Bol Bowen has made it official, signing his National Letter of Intent to Florida State on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-9 forward from Wolfeboro (NH) Brewster Academy committed to the Seminoles back in June, beating out the likes of Providence, Iowa, Duke, and others.
Bol Bowen is currently Leonard Hamilton’s only player in the 2023 recruiting class.
He ranks as the No. 48 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
Why Bol Bowen chose Florida State
“I really enjoyed my official visit to Florida State, and I got along well with the coaching staff,” Bowen said to On3. “I really liked the fit, and I can’t wait to get down there.

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
“Coach (Leonard) Hamilton has shown a lot of love. That has been my biggest thing, getting recruitment from the top guy. I think what they have to offer will prepare me, and they have had a lot of guys similar to me.”
Scouting summary
Taylor Bol Bowen is an elite-level defender. That is his calling card at this point, the length and the ability to move his feet and switch down to guard on the block. At 6-foot-9, he has natural timing both in the passing lanes and as a weakside shot blocker. Offensively, he is still raw. There are flashes, like with the catch-and-shoot three, but there is still a lot of inconsistency with thinking and not reacting in-game. Bol Bowen has a world of upside; the frame and the defensive instincts have NBA potential, and the offensive portion of his game is coming around.
