2024 4-star ATH Dwight Phillips visiting Georgia this weekend

Mableton (Ga.) Pebblebrook four-star athlete Dwight Phillips is visiting Georgia this weekend for the Bulldogs’ game against Auburn, according to On3’s Chad Simmons. This trip will be Phillips’ first visit to Athens this season.

Phillips is the No. 108 overall prospect and No. 9 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 18 player in Georgia.

“They produce running backs and they win national championships,” Phillips told On3’s Jeremy Johnson about Georgia in August. “I’m trying to go to the league one day.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Georgia has a close lead for Phillips’ commitment at 25.4%. Auburn has the next-best odds at 22.3%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Phillips’ visit to the Bulldogs is his second of the fall. He was previously at the Tigers’ game against Penn State on Sept. 17.

Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class currently ranks No. 1 in the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. The group includes Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star tight end Landen Thomas, Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star wide receiver Ny Carr and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) DeMatha Catholic four-star running back Tovani Mizell.

Phillips has an On3 NIL Valuation of $56K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
