2024 5-star safety KJ Bolden visiting Georgia on Thursday
Buford (Ga.) five-star safety KJ Bolden announced Monday that he is going to be making the hour-or-so drive east to Athens, Ga., this Thursday for a visit to Georgia.
He is the No. 5 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Bolden is also the No. 1-ranked safety and No. 1-ranked player from Georgia in the class.
The Bulldogs currently have the early lead in Bolden’s recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives Georgia a 56.0% chance of landing the 2024 star.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

KJ Bolden is also On3’s top safety prospect and top recruit from the state of Georgia. In a recruiting class full of high-quality defensive backs, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said Bolden stands out for his athletic ability.
“The Buford High standout has one of the best combinations of size and athleticism among defensive back prospects in the cycle,” Power said. “He posted a 10.76 second 100-meter time as a freshman at 6-foot, 180 pounds. Bolden plays both wide receiver and safety at Buford, but after seeing him up close early this off-season, we view his best long-term fit on defense at this point in time.”
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $29k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
