2025 4-star CB Tae Harris decommits from Georgia
When Cedartown (Ga.) 2025 four-star cornerback Tae Harris pledged to the Georgia Bulldogs on June 19, his relationship with then-defensive backs coach Fran Brown was the relationship that tied Harris’ commitment together.
On November 28, it was reported that Brown would be the next head coach for the Syracuse Orange. Since then, the ‘Dawgs have proceeded to hire defensive backs coach Donte Williams away from USC and safeties coach Travaris Robinson away from Alabama.
Despite those additions, Harris has decided to decommit from Georgia.
“I have been thinking about this for a while now,” Harris told On3. “Since the coaching change (Fran Brown), things just have been shaky with Georgia, so I want to explore my options a bit more. I am open to all schools now.”
Harris said the communication with Georgia has been “off lately” while other schools has picked up — Harris said that this was the main reason for his decision.

“Some of the schools I am talking to a lot right now are Clemson, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UCF and Georgia Tech,” Harris said. “Those are just some, but there are others. A lot of schools are pushing for me now.”
Harris was at Florida last weekend, is visiting Georgia Tech this weekend and plans to visit Clemson in March.
