2025 lineman Justus Terry makes the early call, commits to Georgia
Manchester (Ga.) 2025 offensive lineman Justus Terry just finished up his sophomore season of high school football, but he knows where he wants to play at the next level.
On Monday, Terry announced his commitment to Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart.
“It was a hard decision, and I had to think deep down inside myself,” he told On3. “I had to pray about it and ask God to lead me to the right decision. I felt deep down that Georgia was where I wanted to take my talents to.”
Terry says he has been up to Athens numerous times, and every time he visits, it feel more and more like the place he wants to be in a few years.
“It’s always love and good times. I like the coaching staff, all the coaches show that they’re there for you,” he said. “If you show that you’re going to work, they’re going to be down for you and welcome you with open arms. It’s just family love. When I step on campus, it feels natural — like I’m at home.”
Justus Terry is high on Tray Scott
Terry is being recruited by schools as both an offensive and defensive lineman, but Georgia likes him as an interior mauler on the defensive front. As such, his primary recruiter has been defensive line coach Tray Scott, and the two have developed a strong bond early on.

“Coach Scott, he’s a great coach and a person,” Terry said. “He has a high motor, and he is always excited and ready to work.”
Now that his commitment is out of the way, Terry is excited to be part of a recruiting class for the back-to-back national champions and the top program in his home state.
“It means a lot because committing to the home state team feels good,” he said. “It feels natural, it feels good and this is just where I wanted to go.”
