4-star 2024 running back Tovani Mizell commits to Georgia
A little more than a week after visiting Georgia, four-star DeMatha Catholic (Md.) running back Tovani Mizell has committed to the Bulldogs.
Mizell is the No. 108 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 8 running back and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Maryland.
Mizell chose the Bulldogs over offers from Florida, Alabama, UCF, USC, and more than 20 other programs.
He first received an offer from Georgia in May, and then visited the ‘Dawgs at the end of July along with a big list of other visitors.

“My coach told me that Georgia was interested and that he was contacted by Coach Dell McGee,” Mizell said when he first got the offer. “Then soon after, Coach McGee visited my school, and when he left, he contacted my coach back and said he was offering me. They liked my size, speed, ability to catch the ball, and make plays.”
He is Georgia’s third commitment in the 2024 cycle, joining top-25 prospect Ny Carr and the nation’s No. 1 tight end, Landen Thomas.
As a sophomore last season at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Newman, Mizell ran 100 times for 616 yards and eight touchdowns, and caught 34 passes for 481 yards and six scores.
