4-star OL T.J. Shanahan taking official visit to Georgia this weekend
Austin (Texas) Westlake four-star interior offensive lineman T.J. Shanahan will take his first official visit to Georgia this weekend from June 3-5.
He is the No. 86 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Shanahan had told On3’s Sam Spiegelman earlier this month that the Bulldogs would be getting an official visit from him.
“It was fun and I’m really fond of Coach (Kirby) Smart,” Shanahan told Spiegelman about his previous visit to the school. “He’s a great coach and a great guy, and he knows how to recruit. It was great to meet Coach (Stacy) Searels for the first time. We talked now and then at North Carolina, but at Georgia, I got to be with him and spend the day with him and I liked him a lot. I hung out with Myles Morris and he showed me around town and I could definitely see myself there for sure.”
Shanahan currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $115k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Despite receiving his first official visit, Georgia is not the favorite for Shanahan. That honor goes to Texas A&M, as the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Aggies an 81.4% chance of landing Shanahan.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
