Five-star cornerback Daylen Everette has made his college choice.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Daylen Everette tells On3 that he has committed to Georgia. The pledge from Everette comes days after decommitting from Clemson.

“It’s one of the top programs in the country and I love the people there,” Everette said of his reason for picking the Bulldogs. “Back when I took my visit back in June I could definitely see myself striving there and being developed and now that’s something I want to be apart of. Most people know if I didn’t commit to Clemson in July then it would’ve been Georgia.”

Daylen Everette, who is 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, quickly reset his recruitment. Everette then took an official visit to Alabama on Dec. 10 before the Dead Period began.

Georgia and Clemson also stepped up their pursuit, with the Tigers hoping to get him back on board after the departure of defensive coordinator Brent Venables to Oklahoma.

Daylen Everette ranks as the No. 26 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the fifth-ranked cornerback and the No. 5 player in Florida, per the On3 Consensus.

On3 ranks Daylen Everette higher than others in the industry. On3 ranks Everette as the No. 7 player in the country, the No. 1 corner and the fourth-best player in Florida.
