Five-star 2024 IMG Academy (Fla.) cornerback Ellis Robinson IV will take an unofficial visit to Georgia this weekend, he tells On3.

Robinson has been in Athens twice over the past year as a recruit, visiting both this spring and summer, and now he’ll return for the Bulldogs’ biggest regular season game of the year against Tennessee.

Robinson has felt the love from Kirby Smart and Co. since their recruitment began, but things have turned up a notch since Sept. 1, when coaches could start directly contacting recruits. Alabama is another school Robinson is very high on.

“Georgia and Alabama are very similar for me,” he told On3 last month. “I feel the same about both schools. They both make me feel like a priority, and with Georgia, I really connect with coach Fran Brown, Coach Muschamp and coach Kirby Smart.

… “There have been a lot of texts and a lot of calls, but the main two every day have been Alabama and Georgia. I don’t talk to any schools right now like I talk to those two. They are recruiting me so hard.”

Following the reclassification of his high school teammate, Desmond Ricks, Robinson is now the No. 1 cornerback in the 2024 class in the On3 Consensus.

Ellis Robinson IV Scouting Summary

“Ball-hawking defensive back with elite length and ability to make plays on the ball as a high school underclassman. Dominated competition in New York’s Catholic league as a sophomore, bringing in eight interceptions. Made several impressive, acrobatic picks. Has advanced ball skills as a cornerback, which he pairs with outstanding length. Measured in at 5-foot-11.5, 169 pounds with a 6-foot-7 wing-span prior to his junior season. Also tests as a very good athlete, running a 4.56 second electronically-timed 40-yard dash. Transferred to IMG Academy for his junior season and should see an uptick in competition as a high school upperclassman.”
