Aaron Murray identifies Georgia’s biggest weakness entering 2023
After two straight national championships, you’d think college football analysts would have little to question of the Georgia Bulldogs heading into the 2023 season. However, one of their own, former Bulldog quarterback Aaron Murray, has some areas of concern he wants to see shored up before he’s ready to declare UGA title favorites once again.
He had a bit of a surprising area where he’s uncertain the Dawgs will be strong once again. But after losing so many great players to the pros, there are a lot of holes to fill. So check out below in his interview with On3 what Aaron Murray wants to see from Georgia in order to believe in another title run.

“I love the secondary, you know, what you have back. And some of the the big time recruits are going to be really good and they’re gonna be really really deep in the secondary. I think they’re going to be really good. You return your linebackers. You know, some of those freshman linebackers really flashed in the spring game. They got a lot of speed. So like that second and third level, I feel good with it.

“That front four getting pressure on the quarterback, you didn’t really see a lot of it in the spring game. So you don’t want to take out, you know, go too crazy over it. But that’s the area to me, replacing a guy like Jalen Carter, who is, I think, the best player in the NFL draft. Can you find ways to stop the run? Can you get after the quarterback? I think they’ll be fine there. But that to me is the weakest part of the defense.
“Offensively, you know, they’ve been shuffling the offensive line around a little bit. I think the offensive line is gonna be fine. Got a great offensive line coach. So yeah, that’s really it, so it’s defensive line and just overall, you know, don’t be complacent, don’t buy into the hype of…hey, you are the best team in the country, you’re going for the three-peat. Like, can Kirby work his magic somehow and tell this team they’re gonna be 8-5 and and piss them off, which if he does that for a second straight season I’d be pretty impressed.”
