Arik Gilbert available for Georgia vs Florida
Georgia is getting a key weapon back Saturday vs. Florida. Arik Gilbert is in Jacksonville and will be available and dressed out for the rivalry game, according to DawgsHQ’s Jake Rowe.
Gilbert has played in two home games against Samford and, most recently, against Vanderbilt two weeks ago. In that Vanderbilt game, he caught his first touchdown of the season, and Kirby Smart said that was “something to celebrate” after the game. It was his first touchdown reception since he was a freshman at LSU in 2020.

Gilbert is in his second year with the Bulldogs after arriving via the transfer portal last year. It’s a nice addition to Georgia’s tight end room for the matchup against Florida, which also has Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington in tow.
Georgia DL Jalen Carter travels with team, aims to play vs. Florida
Georgia football could be getting a major boost on Saturday as they face SEC East rival Florida. According to DawgsHQ, defensive lineman Jalen Carter made the trip to Jacksonville and is hoping to suit up for the game today.

“Defensive lineman Jalen Carter made the trip to Jacksonville and is hoping to suit up for the game today,” DawgsHQ’s Jake Rowe wrote. “Trusted sources tell DawgsHQ that if everything goes well during pregame warmup, Carter should join sophomore inside linebacker Smael Mondon in a return to the field. Both have missed Georgia’s past two contests, both home wins over the likes of Auburn and Vanderbilt.”
It would be a massive get for the Bulldogs ahead of today’s game, as most consider Carter to be Georgia’s most talented defender. He is widely projected as a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft with quite a few analysts putting him inside the top 10 or even top five.
