Arizona State transfer QB Jaden Rashada commits to Georgia Bulldogs
The rich keep on getting richer. The Georgia Bulldogs continue to stack top-tier talent from across the country. They landed one of the top quarterback prospects from the transfer portal, former Arizona State QB Jaden Rashada, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
It’s worth noting that the Sun Devils added former Michigan State quarterback Sam Leavitt this winter from the portal. He was rated as a Top 100 prospect in the 2024 On3 Transfer Portal Rankings. On3’s Charles Power expected Leavitt to start for ASU upon transferring there.
Rashada joins a loaded quarterback room in Athens, with the Bulldogs featuring the likes of 2024 Heisman Trophy candidate Carson Beck. Their backup QB is also a record-setter out of Rabun County (Georgia), redshirt sophomore Gunner Stockton.
In his four-year high school career, Stockton threw for 13,652 passing yards and 177 touchdowns. As a runner, he racked up 4,372 yards and 77 rushing touchdowns. Once he wrapped up his prolific high school career, Stockton set Georgia state records in career passing touchdowns, passing yards, and rushing touchdowns.
He appeared in two games in his 2023 season with the Sun Devils, throwing for 407 yards and three touchdowns while completing 57 percent of his passes. Rashada has been out for most of the spring due to thumb surgery. The injury was not football-related. He returned to 11-on-11 work this week.

Jaden Rashada’s high school recruitment was high-profile. A former Miami decommit, he signed with Florida but was ultimately released from his National Letter of Intent and later signed with Arizona State. His decision to leave the Gators was fueled by an NIL contract terminated in early December 2022.
As a recruit, Rashada was the No. 73 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranked as the nation’s No. 6 quarterback and the No. 6 recruit in California.
Rashada was a member of the 2022 Elite 11 quarterback class, comprising of the nation’s top quarterbacks. He was also invited to play in the Under Armour All-American Game. One of the top dual-threat quarterbacks coming out of high school, Rashada started his final two years of high school. He finished his high school career completing 60% of his passes for 5,816 yards and 80 touchdowns, while adding 592 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
His senior year, Rashada tallied 39 total touchdowns, completing 211 of 338 passes for 3,055 yards and 32 touchdowns in 14 games. As a runner, he also tacked on 419 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2022. He is the son of former ASU defensive back Harlen Rashada, who played for the Sun Devils back in 1992-1994.
