Branson Robinson injury update: SEC Network provides latest on Georgia RB
Georgia running back Branson Robinson suffered an injury during the second quarter against Mississippi State, with team trainers coming over quickly to tend to him.
As they did so, they held towels up to protect the camera view.
Robinson’s right leg appeared to bend under him during a tackle on a short reception with Georgia driving into Mississippi State territory.
“I just watched Branson Robinson walk into the locker room,” the SEC Network sideline reporter Alyssa Lang reported on the air. “Slight limp. he looked disappointed. I’m told by Georgia’s staff it’s a right knee injury. He is out for the remainder of today’s game.”
The talented running back had logged three carries for 12 yard and a touchdown at the time of his injury.
On the season, Branson Robinson had recorded 22 carries for 61 yards and two touchdowns, while also tallying five catches for 28 yards.

The Branson Robinson injury puts Georgia down a second running back, with Roderick Robinson also out.
However, a multitude of Mississippi State players were ruled out for the contest against Georgia, headlined by the Bulldogs losing starting quarterback Blake Shapen to a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 4 against Florida.
But coach Jeff Lebby still believes that his team’s most recent bye week puts them in a better position to succeed this weekend than they would have been before.
“Yeah, we needed it. There’s no question about it, from a health standpoint,” Lebby said. “Again, just being able to refocus, recalibrate and get our guys a little bit of a break that they needed and get us back in this building with just great energy and being incredibly thankful for our opportunity and grateful for what we’ve got ahead of us.”
