The Georgia Bulldogs have won two straight national championships and have started the 2023 season as the unbeaten top-ranked team in the country. One of the most important players throughout that run of success has been tight end Brock Bowers.

Bowers is widely considered the best tight end in the country and has accomplished more than most ever will in their college careers. It would be understandable if some complacency set in for Bowers or the Georgia Bulldogs team as a whole. However, that doesn’t seem to have happened.

Ahead of Georgia’s trip to Auburn, Brock Bowers explained that he doesn’t see complacency as a potential issue to deal with.

“I don’t see it as an issue, more of a challenge,” Brock Bowers said. “I mean Coach [Kirby Smart] is on us every day to continue to grow, continue to get better at certain things.”

Now a junior, Brock Bowers won the Mackey Award and was an All-American in 2022. It’s hard to imagine him being a better all-around player. However, he’s still looking for ways to improve.

“I’ve been trying to focus on certain things every single day to work on and just keep growing as a player.”

There have been times this season when the Georgia offense has started slow in games. That included trailing South Carolina at the half while only scoring three first half points. Through all of that, however, Brock Bowers has remained dominant.

In four games this season, he has 22 receptions for 256 yards and two touchdowns. He also has a rushing touchdown. Brock Bowers is even open to getting touches at running back.

“I’d be open to it. I mean, it’s fun when you get the ball in your hands and try to make something happen,” Bowers said. “So, if they tell me to go to running back, I’ll do whatever.”

Brock Bowers on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

One of the most talked about things in the NFL to start the season is the relationship status of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. It would appear that he’s dating pop superstar Taylor Swift, with Swift attending a Chiefs game and the two leaving together.

Thinking about that relationship, Brock Bowers had a hilarious response to the media coverage that Travis Kelce is getting.

“It’s a win for the tight ends, I guess,” Bowers said. “It’s getting a whole lot of media coverage. I’ve seen it everywhere.”
