WATCH: Brock Bowers takes 78-yard reception in for third touchdown against South Carolina
Georgia tight end Brock Bowers made a phenomenal 78-yard touchdown catch for this third touchdown of the game against South Carolina. On a shot up the middle of the field from quarterback Stetson Bennett IV, the Bulldogs took advantage of a depleted Gamecocks secondary as Bowers was able to run freely through the center of the field.
After making a few defenders miss, Bowers outran the rest of the defense in a foot race for the score. The huge play was his second receiving touchdown of the game after an end zone toe-tapping catch over a defender in the second quarter.

Brock Bowers with three touchdowns against South Carolina
South Carolina substituted B.J. Gibson into the game due to injuries depleting their starting unit, only for him to be targeted on his very first play — allowing Bowers to get open over the top of the secondary.
Bowers’ big day was a major factor behind their quick 31-0 lead over their first SEC opponent of the season, with the Bulldogs’ offense matching the intensity of their defense. The Bulldogs entered the half with a 24-0 lead, having outscored opponents 106-3 through the first ten quarters of their season.
