Georgia quarterback Carson Beck and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders are tied as the top QBs in College Football 25, coming in with a 93 overall rating.

Beck was asked for his reaction to his ranking on Tuesday at SEC Media Days.

“All of our teammates are sending videos into our group chat or whatever, and I’m sitting on a plane. So yea, I haven’t gotten to play it. But obviously it’s a video game,” Carson Beck said in a video captured by Graham Coffey. “Like, rate me wherever you want and I’m just going to go do the real thing in real life. I’m not really too worried about a video game.”

Carson Beck took a very different approach from Shedeur Sanders, who was disappointed to not be the outright top quarterback in College Football 25.

“I mean I don’t believe in — it’s a tie, I don’t believe in ties when it comes to quarterback,” Sanders said at Big 12 Media Days. “When it comes to quarterback ratings, I don’t believe in ties. It’s either a winner or loser, like let’s just get to the point.”

Carson Beck is entering his second season as the Georgia starting quarterback. He led the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record in 2023, with the only loss coming to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

Beck threw for 3,941 yards, while completing better than 72 percent of his passes. He also accounted for 28 total touchdowns, with six interceptions.

As for Shedeur Sanders, he passed for 3,230 yards, with 31 total touchdowns and three picks. Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes as Colorado went 4-8 in 2023.

Deion Sanders on Shedeur’s EA Sports College Football 25 rating: ‘How’s there a tie?’

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders also reacted to Shedeur Sanders and Carson Beck being tied for the top quarterback in College Football 25. Needless to say, Coach Prime wasn’t a fan.

“How’s there a tie? … That’s like, do you hate so bad that you’ve got to give them a tie?” Sanders said. “There ain’t to ties in football. There ain’t no ties. We don’t want no tie. No. We ain’t accepting no tie. Ain’t no tie. Just say what it is. … You get him off this team and take the other one, put him on my team and see what the record is.”

In addition to tying for the top quarterback in EA Sports College Football 25, Shedeur Sanders came in as the No. 17 overall player in the video game, which was released July 16 to users who purchased the deluxe edition. The game officially comes out July 19. His famous watch celebration is also featured.

Sanders is one of more than 14,000 players to opt in to the game through an NIL program with EA Sports. Athletes received $600 plus a copy of the game for their participation.
