Charlie Condon hits 30th home run of the season vs. Kennesaw State
The home run numbers continue to rise for Georgia slugger Charlie Condon. Just three days after becoming the school’s single-season leader in long balls, the Bulldogs star added another homer to his total Tuesday evening against Kennesaw State.
Condon connected with the pitch and drove it to deep right field as an outfielder jumped up trying to grab the ball before it sailed over his head. The home run marked his 30th of the year thus far with plenty more baseball still to be played. You can view the moment below.
The blast from Condon brought in a pair of runs to give Georgia an early 2-0 lead. That is still the current score with the game now in the top of the fourth inning.
This now marks the fourth straight game that Charlie Condon has hit a home run after he went yard in all three of this past weekend’s matchups against Texas A&M. His 29th homer of the year on Saturday’s contest against the Aggies allowed him to pass Gordon Beckham, who set the previous school record in 2008.
Condon redshirted his true freshman season in 2022 before going on to break out as a redshirt freshman last year. He ended with 25 home runs and was name the National Freshman of the Year. With 55 career home runs, he is not only the single season program leader, but the all-time leader as well.

Condon leads Georgia this season with a batting average of .461 as well as 77 hits and 61 RBI. He is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2024 MLB Draft should he decided to forgo his remaining college eligibility.
The 30 home runs from Condon are the most of any player in college baseball this season. Just three more home runs would propel him into the top 10 of all-time for a single season in NCAA history. The current record of 48 home runs was set in the 1985 season by Pete Incaviglia of Oklahoma State.
In large part due to the play of Condon, the Bulldogs sit a 31-12 this season and will aim to make a run to the College World Series. There are only a little more than two weeks remaining in the regular season before the SEC Tournament begins.
We’ll see if Condon can manage to make it five games in a row with a home run when Georgia faces Vanderbilt on Friday.
