ESPN’s College GameDay has announced its location for Week 7 of college football. College GameDay tweeted on Sunday, announcing Athens, Georgia as the Week 7 location.

“HEY ATHENS … WE’RE COMING BACK!! See you Saturday for 6-0 Georgia Football vs. 6-0 Kentucky Football,” the tweet said.

After Alabama fell to Texas A&M in Week 6, Georgia is now viewed as the consensus best team in college football right now. The Bulldogs are 6-0 and are allowing just 5.5 points per game.

Georgia is ranked No. 1 in the regular season for first time since 1982

With Georgia being ranked as the top team in college football in the latest AP Poll, it is the first time they sit at No. 1 in the regular season since the 1982 season. Georgia defeated Auburn 34-10 in Week 6.

Georgia’s stout defense is a big reason behind its monumental success to begin the season. Against Auburn, Georgia held the Tigers to 1.6 yards per carry with 46 yards on 29 attempts.

When the GameDay crew watches Georgia and Kentucky face off on Saturday, it could very well turn into a low scoring defensive affair. Georgia leads the nation in allowing 201.2 yards and 5.5 points per game. The Bulldogs have not allowed more than 13 points in a game yet this season. Kentucky is allowing 305 yards and 17.5 points per game.

Georgia is ranked at the top while Kentucky sits at No. 11 entering Week 7.

ESPN’s Paul Finebaum raved about Georgia on SportsCenter on Sunday morning. With Alabama falling in the rankings after its loss, Finebaum calls Georgia the indisputable top team in college football.

“At number one, it is indisputable,” ESPN’s Paul Finebaum said of Georgia Sunday on SportsCenter. “Georgia should be the unanimous No. 1 pick. They continue to dominate on offense. And remember, they’re using a backup quarterback.  That’s why they are so remarkable.”

The GameDay atmosphere should be electric for Georgia vs. Kentucky on Saturday. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET in Athens.
