David Pollack doesn’t see the Georgia Bulldogs slowing down anytime soon.

After back-to-back national titles, some programs would be content for a long period of time. Not Kirby Smart’s team. The attitude Pollack sees on this season’s Georgia team is a special one, as he explained while giving them the biggest compliment imaginable, believing them to have that Dawg mentality.

“I mean, I love my broken English — I mean, they’re just some Dawgs,” stated Pollack. “I mean, they really are. And I mean that — just some Dawgs. I mean that like, you watch them man, they’ve just got a different attitude and a different demeanor. Are some people different? Sure. But I think they’re coached great. They’re talented. This is going to be the hardest one though. Like, you could argue the first one, the second one last year, Kirby looked around him and was like, you know the repeat, Jordan Davis isn’t here. 15 draft picks aren’t here. … It’s going to be a lot harder. Like, it’s going to be a harder deal, for sure.

“So it’ll be interesting to see how they handle that. The schedule sets up great. They’ll be in the mix. As a Georgia fan, it’s frickin’ fun, bro.”

You can’t blame Pollack for being giddy about this season’s Bulldogs squad. Smart’s team looks primed to three-peat, something that would’ve been unimaginable to say just a couple of years ago.

However, it’ll all come down to the quarterback position for Georgia in 2023, and whether they’re able to replicate the play of Stetson Bennett moving forward. Evidently, that isn’t something that worries Pollack, as he claimed presumed starting quarterback Carson Beck is better than Bennett, it’s just a matter of showing up during big games.

“First of all, he can throw,  he can sling the crap out of it,” Pollack said of Beck. “Ridiculous accuracy, really smart. I would say right now he’s better than Stetson but the thing will be big games, big moments. Like that stuff you can’t predict and so I think with the hype and that stuff like says he was the best big game quarterback we’ve seen in a long time.

“But Carson from the tool standpoint and tangibles, surrounded by people, he’ll be just fine.”

Time will tell whether Dave Pollack is right about the 2023 Georgia Bulldogs, but the vibes are immaculate around the program at the moment, it seems.
