Class of 2025 linebacker Jadon Perlotte of Buford (GA) High announced his commitment to Georgia Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-4, 215 pounder chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Oregon.

Perlotte on why he chose Georgia

“Georgia is legendary,” Perlotte said. “They are building something great that’s going to last for the next 10+ years and I’m ready to be a part of it! Every single time I visited Georgia, all I received was love. They’ve treated me like their own since day 1! I’ve had many conversations with the coaches about my position and I will be playing defense, everywhere on the defense side. I will lead the Bulldogs Defense to multiple national championships!”

Relationship with the coaching staff stood out

“I’m very close with the coaching staff, every single last one of them,” Perlotte said. “We are more like a family. I can go to them for anything and they are always checking up on me. They plan on me leading their defense.  I will be the quarterback of their defense and play all positions.”

Georgia produces first-round NFL draft picks

“It’s everything you could want,” Perlotte said. “They constantly put guys in the first round and most everybody’s dream is to make it to the big leagues.  I feel as if they will develop me and make me the greatest linebacker to come through Georgia.”

Perlotte currently ranks as the No. 35 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting services. He also tabs in as the No. 3 linebacker and the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia.
