Father of Georgia's Warren McClendon provides positive update after son was passenger in deadly car crash
Starting Georgia offensive lineman Warren McClendon was involved in the car crash that claimed the lives of Bulldogs teammate Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy, but his father has provided a positive update on his status.
On Sunday afternoon, Warren McClendon Sr. told Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald that his son “is doing well,” and only needed “a couple of stitches in his forehead” following the accident.
“Lil Warren was in the car that was involved in the accident and he is doing well,” Warren McClendon Sr. said via text message to the Athens Banner-Herald on Sunday. “We are asking everyone to pray for Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy’s family.
“We are with lil Warren and will let everyone know more later. Thank you for your prayers.”
Thankfully, McClendon is seemingly doing well, although many can’t imagine the mental anguish he’s feeling at the moment.
The thoughts and prayers of the college football world are with the Georgia Bulldogs, and the families of both Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy on Sunday morning, as well as everyone involved.
