With less than a week until National Signing Day, Georgia coaches made their way to Florida to see five-star cornerback commit Jaheim Singletary on Thursday.

Singletary is the No. 24 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 4 cornerback and the No. 4 prospect in the state of Florida.

Singletary shared a photo on Twitter flanked by Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and assistants Will Muschamp and Todd Hartley with the caption “FAMILY.”

The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder has been committed to the Bulldogs for a little over three weeks. Singletary was previously committed to Ohio State from January to early August. But he backed off that pledge and reopened his recruitment. He chose Georgia on Nov. 21, but other schools haven’t given up on him.

Florida and new head coach Billy Napier are continuing to make a push. And the Gators sent assistant Wesley McGriff to see him last week. He hasn’t given any public indication that he is looking around. But he told On3’s Jeremy Johnson this fall that he was impressed by the atmosphere at Florida when he visited for the Alabama game.

“It was crazy,” Singletary said. “I’ve been to Florida games before, but this game was just crazy. The people were there and the love they were showing was great.”

Jaheim Singletary Scouting Summary

“A tall, lean ball-hawking cornerback. Uses his 6-foot-2.5 stature, 33-inch arms, and bouncy athleticism to make plays on the ball at a high rate,” said On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power. “Looks like a wide receiver playing corner when the ball is in the air with his ability to extend and high-point.

“Unsurprisingly also doubles as a talented wide receiver for his high school team. Plays with physicality both as a run defender and in press situations. Has above average, not great long speed for the position. Grew over an inch between his junior and senior years.”
