Former Bulldogs commits Deyon Bouie, Bear Alexander visit Georgia
Two former Georgia commits were in Athens, Ga., on Saturday to watch the Bulldogs beat down on Arkansas in Bainbridge (Ga.) High four-star cornerback Deyon Bouie and Fort Worth (Texas) IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman Bear Alexander.
Alexander is the No. 33 overall recruit in the 2022 On300 while Bouie is the No. 68 prospect in the cycle.
Not only did the two decommit from Georgia within a few days of each other in June, but they are also being heavily recruited by Texas A&M.
In the case of Deyon Bouie, he has committed to the Aggies. But Bouie told On3’s Jeremy Johnson that the Bulldogs have a “slim chance” of flipping him for the second time in the cycle.
Deyon Bouie will be in College Station, Texas, next Saturday to watch the Aggies primetime matchup against Alabama.
Alexander has Georgia and Texas A&M as his final two schools. He told On3’s Chad Simmons that the atmosphere in Sanford Stadium was great.

“The energy was definitely high in Athens,” Alexander said.
Deyon Bouie and Bear Alexander among top recruits in Athens yesterday
Deyon Bouie and Bear Alexander weren’t the only big names to visit Georgia. Saturday’s top-10 matchup between Georgia and Arkansas was a top pick for recruits looking to make official and unofficial visits last weekend.
No. 5 overall recruit and USC commit Mykel Williams was the highest-rated prospect to be in the Peach State on Saturday. The Columbus (Ga.) Hardaway defensive lineman told On3’s Chad Simmons that environment at the game was incredible.
He also added he will be back in Athens for the Bulldogs game against Kentucky on Oct. 16. Fellow five-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart was also in Athens, and he was impressed with the Bulldogs defense that held Arkansas to only 162 total yards and zero points.
It remains to be seen how much weight such a dominant victory and electric atmopshore will play in the recruitments of Mykel Williams, Shemar Stewart, Deyon Bouie and Bear Alexander.
